Looking for help on decision to make between the 2 subs. SVS is new and the JL are used like new. They will be paired with a theory audio system for home theater watching movies 60% gaming 30% and music 10%. If anyone has any experience with any of these subs please chime in. My room size is 16Lx15Wx10H. Performance wise if both are close in price range. I think in posted in wrong section so moved post to here

I have the JLs and the CR1 and no experience with SVS. The Fathoms have the features to setup a good frequency response in the room. The CR1 can help more with frequency transition to the main speakers and eliminating the vertical axial mode problem, if needed. The controls are covered by the grill and the automated DARO feature comes with a proprietary microphone. This setup does not lend itself to frequent user adjustments like probably an app does. I do not know the real value of the SVS app, though. If you get two, DARO works properly when the subs are daisy-chained, as in mono. DARO is band limited. The ELF filter is handy but I still have a lot of bass at 20Hz with it set to -12. I do not know what performance means, but I think it is important to have a sub that that is honestly as good as the main speakers' woofers in order to not be disappointed.

I’ve owned several SVS subs over the years. All had outstanding performance and their after sales support has been outstanding. I don’t have any experience with that particular SVS model or the JLs.

Like the JLs the SVS has a functional room correction system available, and either will work well with the CR1.

The SVS sealed subs are real beasts and have not disappointed me over the years.
