...since this is The What’s Best Forum, I thought it appropriate to make mention of one of the best audio dealers I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. That man is Colin King of Gestalt Audio, in Nashville. My only affiliation is that of a happy customer.

At the beginning of 2022 I was in the market for a specific brand, full-function solid-state integrated amplifier, and since I did not have the opportunity to audition in person (The Pandemic) I called at least 6 dealers, including Colin. I'd read the reviews but wanted more info. What impressed me so much was his knowledge and low-key, no-pressure approach. His articulate and patient answers to my many questions were the most useful and descriptive of all the dealers I’d contacted.

That he laughed at (most) of my jokes was also a big plus. :)

BTW, I did purchase the amp from Colin. It arrived safely earlier this week after months of eager anticipation. It was worth the wait.

One other thing, since the delay was far longer than either of us expected, Colin generously offered to send me another (more expensive) amp instead, at no additional charge. He had that amp in stock, it was a tempting offer, but I declined and decided to continue to wait. Talk about above and beyond!

It's encouraging and comforting to read about customers positive experiences with dealers. Thanks.
