Hey all, I was "directed" here by Muralman. The No. No. Ca. is because I live north of the Sac area (Paradise). Most people think No. Ca. is SanFrancisco. :D
I've been an avid audiophile since the mid 70's where I cut my teeth on systems heard in various shops around the Sacramento area. The Audio Cage, Neals Speakers, and Stereo Showcase were my haunts.

My own system consists of Apogee Duetta II's (not used at the moment/they are now the focus of a project) Marantz CDP, Lux C02 pre, Bedini 150/150 amp, AR Legend TT and Velodyne sub (for HT).

Looking forward to the discussion!(s)

welcome

I am hoping we can lure enough Apogee users to our site to establish an Apogee forum.

Is Paradise near the area in Oregon that is supposed to be the "banana belt" of west coast with warmer whether than the surrounding area? I think that is near Brookings, Or.

Regardless, welcome to the forum! I used to live in Bay Area but never made it north of Napa Valley :(.

That's a possibility. I'm not sure if one Ap owner is here. He has "CFR's". Essentially Centaur Major MR/T's merried to Full Range woofer panels. From one visitor the description was "awe-inspiring".

Nope, I'm roughly 90 miles north of Sacramento. Looks like you are much closer to the "belt" than I am!
Thanks for the welcomes.

I never thought I'd see the words "warmer" or "banana belt" and "coastal Oregon" in the same sentence. This is good :)

Why, where Ah come from, we've got ocean temperatures in the Winter that are warmer than most place's afternoon highs in the Summer. As far as being in a banana belt, we've got bananas, mangoes, avocadoes, papayas, and a lot more are readily at hand, just reach off the back porch and grab breakfast.

I'm practicing for the mainland Winter...
