My Sonic Messiah (HiFi) is back in business!!

Couple of pics of the core (new) parts:-

T+A DAC-200 DAC/Pre
T+A M200 Monoblocs
Wiim Pro Plus (only for the wife's need for Spotify)

Also playing around with isolation but might just take them out until the gear is run in over the next couple of weeks.

Dear @Hydrology

Have you already been able to gather your first impressions of the T+A combination?
I would be very pleased to hear your feedback, as I am also interested in the 200 series.
Thanks a lot.

Hi @tom539 - I would say I am certainly most impressed by the DAC200. This thing punches WELL above its price point (cliched to say I know but in this case its true!). I would say overall I am chuffed with the improvements in the system, HOWEVER, I kinda miss the high damping factor of the Hegel H590 (and your Devialet would also have this). The "tightness" in the lower registers isnt as nice to my ears as I like it, but to be honest I kinda expected this. The mono M200 are no slouch, but their not as zippy as the Hegel amplification sounded, or the Devialet 250 when I tried that in my system.
All of the above was appraised with digital music, where I found huge improvements where I wasnt expecting any was with my vinyl playback. The analogue input on the DAC200 is soooooo quiet!

Thanks a lot - interesting to read.

I would be very interested in a direct comparison between the DAC-200 and the Ferrum duo Hypsos + Wandla.

Keep having fun with the T+A combo.

Btw.: high damping factor

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to test the SIA-025 from Vitus Audio in my home for a few days.
Compared to the Devialet D440pro, this was a clear improvement - better resolution, more space in width and depth and this extreme control in the bass. Even my room modes were no longer a problem.

The Vitus would be really nice to have...

So the OCD in me meant I wasn't happy with having the isolation footers sitting on the actual footers of the T+A gear, coupled (sic!) with the fact that they were probably not equidistant, so I made me a template!!!!

Now they are all perfect!

Also repositioned the speakers a little...

You may find the isolation footers work better on one side underneath the power supply, rather than the perfect equidistant square.

Perhaps, but in my case they are performing better where they are now than where they were, and my OCD still remains intact. I'll take the win... ;)

Better shot of the Supex

I love your room and system! This brings back fond memories of my Grace 707 and Supex SD-900 experience circa 1977. We used a Micro Seiki DDX-100, which also sported a Grace 747 with Decca Gold. Also a big fan of the T+A DACs.
