Dear fellow enthusiasts,

I hope you are all doing well.

I am in the process of making significant upgrades to my audio system and would greatly appreciate your guidance in selecting suitable cables. My planned system configuration is as follows:
  • Yamamoto A-010 "VT52"
  • Yamamoto CA-04
  • Yamamoto SUT Low Impedance
  • Audio Note AN E/SPe HE
  • Custom-built turntable in rosewood with Denon 103R
This system has been carefully chosen with the goal of achieving an intimate and immersive listening experience—a sense of "liveness" that prioritizes natural and musical reproduction.

I recently made a post regarding the VT-52 tube, in which I provided some key details that may be relevant to this discussion:

Listening Room & Preferences:
  • My listening room is approximately 25 square meters with high ceilings (2.7m).
  • I primarily listen to jazz (ranging from solo and trio performances to larger ensembles) and classical music (from solo instrumental works to full orchestral compositions).
  • If any additional details would be helpful in making recommendations, please feel free to ask.
I have been advised to explore Auditorium 23 and Duelund cables, both of which appear to be of excellent quality. I would love to hear any thoughts or experiences regarding these options, as well as any alternative recommendations that may be well-suited to my setup.

Additionally, I would like to better understand the differences between silver and copper cables. From my understanding, silver tends to emphasize neutrality and transparency, whereas I generally prefer a more organic, warm, and musical presentation. Given my preferences, I suspect copper may be a better choice—not to mention the potential cost savings—but I would be grateful for any insights on this matter.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

Best regards

Contact the folks at The Cable Company. They also have cables you can audition in your system. I am a P.A.D cable fan as well as Analysis Plus. https://www.thecableco.com/

While they are not as well known as others, I've had great success with Hapa Audio cables of Colorado...particularly those with the aerogel dialectric. Jason Wong is the owner, designer, and builder, and he will usually loan cables for audition. He will also custom-build cables to your specifications. www.hapaaudio.com
