If you wanted to know what is wrong with the CD, here is your answer....

I think we discovered the source of pollution in Europe! :D

Why do the trucks tilt to one side? Is it torque steer?

Several years ago the MythBusters did the CD demolition derby but these guys got MUCH better photos of the destruction.

EXCELLENT!

Hah. You call that drag racing? This is drag racing: No slow mo required. :)

The guy in the starting cage and the people right at the sidelines are out of their minds!

The cage and road barriers offer no protection from those semis if they don't travel straight.

The smoke is just as bad in the diesel classes at tractor pull events in the US... :)

The tilt is the result of the the truck chassis twisting under the torque. You can see this happen with some street modified dragster classes where they don't use full tube chassis. Torque steer is a different thing, unique to front-wheel drive.

Ah yes. That makes sense. Thanks.

There fixed it for you. :p They learned a long time ago that when the axle shafts are of uneven length you get torque steer. Bad motor mounts will do it too.
I don't understand why to this day some manufactures still use unequal axels. I drove a shoebox scion while in Seattle and if you gassed it the steering wheel was practically ripped out of my hands.

Okay, I'm calling you out on this one. There's no way a shoebox Scion produced enough torque to pull the wheel out of your hands. I know, because I drive one. It barely produces enough torque to make the damned thing move.

This was the Hi-Po model with worn out slipping fan belts for added horse power! Turbo Boost, turn off the A/C!

Thanks for making me laugh this early in the morning.
