Yes, of course. But the question was about using HDMI in Taiko or Lampizator. That requires paying a license fee to the HDMI organization for each unit sold. XDMI, as you rightly said, incurs no license fee as it is “Emile’s baby”. Which exactly proves the point I was trying to make. There are reasons other than sound quality to not include HDMI or I2S.
