I received a Lyra Etna Lambada SL in part exchange/replacement for a non serviceable Etna SL in Dec 24. I have barely logged in 50 hours of listening or probably less. My initial impressions are not just positive but almost ecstatic. I loved the Etna SL which has been in my system close to 7 years in various iterations, starting as a plain Etna and graduating to the SL. On initial scrutiny, while the Lambada Etna SL version obviously shares many of the traits of the predecessor , the one attribute that stands out more than any other is the noise floor, the eerie almost black silence between tracks. In that regard it is almost cd like .
I have been travelling and hopefully if I get to spend more time with it over the summer will share more of my listening impressions.
Have been an exile from most things audio for a long time and am just beginning to re engage with this hobby.

Been thinking about this subject as well i.e. to purchase the Etna Lambda SL or a MSL Hyper Eminent Ex (has the lowest internal impedance of all the MSL cartridges) or a Gold Sig or Platinum Sig as currently have a MSL Eminent Ex (which maybe I could have serviced and re-tipped etc.) which has been very nice with my CH P1 (with X1) in the transimpedance / current input of the P1 but it now has approx. 925 hours of use on it and therefore been thinking if the time is coming soon to replace it i.e. general guide of 1000 to 1200 hours for changing a cartridge ??? (although through my Wally Scope on it's highest magnification the stylus appears to look ok regarding it's shape etc. (although I am no expert on what exactly to look for regarding stylus ware etc. for when a cartridge needs to be changed or re-tipped) and I can't hear any sound degradation yet !).
