Mother's Day

OK guys Mother's Day is coming up and we all have the chance to redeem ourselves for all of those expensive stereo purchases made by us during the year. In the past I am sure we have bought just about anything and everything for this special day so what are you guys doing different or special to celebrate Mother's Day

For me this year I have gone in a whole different direction. We are going to spend a few days in the desert with my wife's family and enjoy some good food and relax BUT the kicker that I am bringing home this year are a pair of floor tickets to see the Rolling Stones at The Pond in Anaheim on May 18th. I am so looking forward to this concert as this could be the last time we see them in concert again (although we have been saying that for their last 5 concert tours) unless of course they become the only rock group to be singing as octogenarians.

My wife is a huge Stones fan and for the price of the seats we could have gone to Europe but what the heck :)

Wow Steve...and I was feeling really good about the nice scarf I got!

if anyone has seen the Stones in concert knows that it is more than just a concert but a real happening.

If you want to see the Stones at their finest watch Martin Scorsese's Shine A Light which was filmed in NYC over 2 nights, one of which President Clinton, Hillary and her mother were in attendance. What I found interesting was when I saw the film on iMax one afternoon the people in the theater were all my age but watching the film in NYC showed it attended by mostly all young people thus proving that the Stones who have been entertaining for 6 decades have fans of all ages

Bought her a new car yesterday - mother's, birthday, anniversary et al... We really liked the 2013 Crosstour over prior models and others' products in the category.

This year is going to be special since my wife is expecting our first baby! I doubt that our perspective finances will allow a deserved present, but I already know how we'll celebrate: packing to move to a larger apartment :)

Chi va piano va sano e va lontano ;)

And while we have a lot to celebrate, let's not forget those other mothers and wives
