I have an old speaker and horn (given to me) that I built a box for and had it wired up to sell. I have pictures of make and model but otherwise I have no idea what I actually have. Can someone help me or point me in the right direction?

ok is anyone knowledgeable with these?

You have Altecs. The woofer is 515c, which is one of the best Alnico woofers. The 291 16a is a Symbiotik diaphragm midrange that starts from above the woofer at 500 Hz and around 12k. You will need a tweeter. You can play it either as is, or you can replace the diaphragm of the 291 with that of 288, which is considered to be better in sound. GPA (Great Plains Audio) can do that for you.

You will get more information on http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/ , DIY audio, or GPA manuals

You likely have the n500 crossover. You can start playing as is, and then have it replaced either by Werner Jargusch in Germany or Misho in Bulgaria. They can send you a crossover for a small fee.

Use SET amps, low watt, ideally.
