Renault reviving the classic, this will revolutionize e-mobility. Finally, an E compact sports car.
A few key figures:
The car is 4.08 m long and 2.03 m wide (compared to an Audi RS6, which is 1.98 m wide). Output: 540 hp / 4,800 Nm torque on the rear axle. Charging capacity: up to 350 kW. Unfortunately, this pleasure will only be available to a few people. It is limited to 1,980 units.
Homage to the release year of the first model. Renault promises this will be the first electric track car to beat to the combustion engine.
The want-to-have factor is high, but the price will probably prevent it..sadrenault-5-turbo-3e-2025.jpg16402fcf4a.jpg-bc15893b45a4cd16.jpg

Am a big fan of the original Turbo 1/2 but suspect the price will be uncomfortably higher than hoped for. UK press is already talking about £100k to £150k range, which is a large delta.

I get electric for performance but in the States it would not sell as a retro just like the new Cayman e car wont sell. But there is one car doing pretty well, the Hyundai Ionic 5 N is a hot car. Even Chris Harris likes it.
