I'm thrilled to have just acquired a nearly-new pair of Von Schweikert Endeavor SEs in Aston Martin Arizona Bronze. They are only a few months old and have ~250 hours on them.
I'm still working out positioning, but the initial strengths that are very obvious include extraordinary imaging with three-dimensional soundstage and tremendous openness and air around instruments and voices.
I first heard the VSA ESEs at Capital Audiofest in 2023 with VAC amplification in the huge Potomac Room. I - along with everyone else, I think - was stunned by how close the ESEs came to the sound of VSA's megabuck speakers, and how well they filled the very large space. They (now known as the ONE.loudspeaker) are truly one of hifi's great bargains today.
By the way, I'm grateful to WBF member tony22 who is very helpful, knowledgeable, and a great ESE ambassador!

I see you have a Pachanko Labs Mini SE server. Nice
What a difference from my previous NAD M50.2! I would have never discovered Pachanko if not for this site...

Congratulations, @Zuman! You’re in for a wonderful musical journey. :D

Congrats!! I had these in my room for a minute and enjoyed them. The DNA is definitely there!IMG_1679.jpeg

Rodney, it's great seeing you here above! Damon and I are together this evening doing some late-night listening.

Zuman, welcome to our family! Your system and Arizona Bronze Model One's look terrific.

Tony 22, thanks for your continued support and for owning the hottest Model Ones in Volcano Orange!

As an EVP at Von Schweikert, I can choose any model. My wife approved the new VR.thirties, so until they are ready, I'm happily using model one in my new listening room. The small and mighty Ones never cease to surprise me.

I am still putting the pieces together. The set-up includes Westminster Rei and Quest amp and pre, Master Built Reference II bi-wire cables, power cords and interconnects, Lampi Baltic 4 DAC, and a Heed CD transport. A custom Folgenhaus equipment reach is still six weeks away, as is artwork and a few more tasteful room treatments.

My wife and I had our neighbors over yesterday evening. He has a very nice system (B&W 801 D4s, Classe, Parasound, VPI, Lumin...). He's a former drummer, and she's a singer.
We listened for four hours, which is something I don't think my wife has ever done in her life before. There was a lot of Knopfler/Dire Straits, both analog and digital; a bunch of Paul Simon; several Jennifer Warnes/Cohen cuts; some Mozart; some Christopher Tin, and both sides of Tears for Fears' The Seeds of Love. I usually listen at around the 16 volume setting on my Modwright KWH225i amp (which can push 400 watts into the Endeavor SEs' 4 ohms), but my friend was hogging the remote and I frequently saw 26, 28, and even 32 on the Modwright's display.
My friend said that he'd never experienced a soundstage like we enjoyed last night. He said he felt like he was at a concert during some of the Tears for Fears cuts. His wife said she was hearing things she'd never noticed before, including instruments she hadn't known were part of the mix, and people talking on stage.
It's nice to have affirmation from others when we make a new purchase...but it's even better to understand what they''re talking about and to agree with them!

Zuman,

Damon and I genuinely appreciate hearing about experiences like this. Learning about you and your wife enjoying time with friends and listening to music was a highlight. This post may sound promotional to some, so please allow me to muster all the sincerity I can in saying this.

Making high-end loudspeakers is not an easy business. It requires dedication, hard work, and the ability to stand out from the sea of alternative products, many of which look the same as the next. Albert Von Schweikert began his quest 50 years ago this year as a young Cal Tech physics student passionate about music and sound. Today, his son Damon admirably carries on Albert's legacy by never straying from his first principle in loudspeaker design. Albert coined his mission "inverse replication" - decoding what the microphone encodes by creating loudspeakers that mirror that signal as closely as possible in reverse.

Very few become wealthy in our business, but hearing about our customer experiences is why we do what we do! Thank you for sharing it. We are grateful.

I know you can't post them all, but do you have any pictures of speakers in the Porsche Chalk Grey?

Here's one with Grigio gray Ultra.seven and Shockwave 12 sub-woofers in the foreground and Chalk gray in the background. Though the image is small, it is a terrific representation of the color, which is often hard to capture in the factory environment.
