Hi all, I hope someone can guide me in the right direction. I have a large fab shop and I like to listen to music very loud while I work. My shop size is 100'x50'x16'. I currently have an old Kenwood system with 2 15" cabinets and I purchased this system in 1994. Tweeters and mid speakers are shot and I just want a better, good, full sounding system. I was thinking of getting 2 speakers, either PA's or cabinets but not sure which would sound better or the place is so big it wouldn't matter anyway? Right now the 2 speakers are about 6' high sitting next to each other about 20' down the 100' length and facing across the 50' way. I kept them close because I was worried about losing sound quality through longer speaker wire. On my 50' width there are 2 12' sliding doors and was thinking of placing a speaker on each side towards the ceiling on each side pointing towards the other end? Am looking to get a totally new system, really just a power unit with bluetooth or whatever I would need to run 2 speakers and control them from the ground. I only stream music anymore so would not need a tuner. Would I be better off just buying a complete PA system like a DJ would use? Don't beat me up to bad as I am not (as you can tell) an expert and will answer any questions you have that I know I missed. I listen to about everything from Slayer to Snoop and everything in between. Thank you in advance, Shane

Get 4 of the same speakers, put them in the corners to reinforce bass and be done. Sound loss through speaker cable length is not important or audible in that environment. Plenty of vintage gear out there to fit the bill and just patch in through the aux your streaming device.

What kind of a shop, what kind of equipment will be running?
Welder, grinder....basic fab shop but I am only one working. Was at a basketball game last Friday and they had PA speakers 2way...sub and tweeters and they sounded pretty good so I was thinking one in each corner like you say should cover nice?
