The cartridge was inspected and measured in 1987 at EMT laboratories, when factory was still active.
I also have an interesting antique Telefunken tonearm with a transformer, but I don't know what kind of step-up it is.

If you are tempted, please let me know.

With regards,

igor

Hi Gregory ,

Since units are new and sealed, they should run for 10,000 to 15,000 hours according to the manual—enough for a lifetime.
I thought 1200EUR for a butterfly, and 900 for a normal one.

Would that be a manageable offer for you.

Regards,
Igor

These are the typical numbers IMO wrongly returned by ChatCPT to this question, assuming Studer uses ferrite heads - that is not true AFAIK.
Even in Studer heads life time differs from head type to head type .

We should consider that the often quoted lifetime assumes that heads are relapped at around 3-4000 hours. But this a controversy subject, with many different opinions from experts around - people should do the proper research and pick the preferred answer!

BTW, I think that the 1.318.720 is a recording, not reproduction head.

And what STUDER machine are these heads for? What model?

At first glance
1.318.720 Record Head 1/4" 2-Track to A807 A812 A820 Teile

Butterfly
1.317.235 Playback Head 1/4" 0.75mm to A80R/RC A80
1.317.130 Recording Head 1/4" 0.75mm to A80R/RC A80
1.319.720 Recording Head 1/4" 2-Track to A80R/RC A80

For interchangeability and technical specifications of the parts and heads it is necessary to look in the service books. In most cases, the same heads are used in several models, the differences are minimal.
