I look at the Mono and Stereo website regularly. Very nice setups from and in various parts of the world. Lots of cool pictures - few words!
The peak period of my hi-fi acquisitive behaviour was from the late 70's to the 90's. Although information was not spread as easily, it seems
that there were so fewer audio companies and much less choice then. Was the prevalence of audiophilia amongst the population similar then vs now?
I just wonder how ultra- high end manufacturers continue to stay in business today...there appear to be so many and the prices can be stratospheric. Is the
market that large? Are the markups that high? Are many of them just doing this to see what they can achieve with profit considerations secondary?
