Nuforce Ref 18 mono blocks

never heard the ref 18 , but did get a home loan of the nuforce ref 9 monoblocks for a fortnight
first time i ever heard a class D amp , did not like them at all. very hifi not very musical.
dry and overdamped sounding , bit like trying to make a cow from minced beef

if you want a big set of monoblocks try a pair of sanders magtechs

I bought a pair a Nuforce Ref 18 mono's two months ago - mate they are stunning! No 'digital' nasties here! Besides many don't realise class 'D' does not stand for digital. The ref 18's are actually a PWM analogue design according to Nuforce. These babies are super fast, detailed, transparent, dynamic and very natural sounding - they synergise very nicely with my Wadia dac! They will drive a 2ohm load with ease. Best of all there NOT huge, inefficient 'boat anchors'

your orginal post asked if anyone had heard them , did not know you already owned them.
just my opionion but i did not get on with the nuforces myself , also checking around they drop like a stone on 2nd hand resale price
also my deomo P9 ref nuforce broke down twice

I had the P9 Refs three years ago and I found them to be fast and very authoritative in the LFs.

Has Nuforce gotten past their troubles? A couple of years ago there were lots of reports of high distortion and low reliability on Nuforce products. Maybe those were isolated cases spread like a virus on the internet. I have no personal experience with the brand.

It seems they may still be having some issues Tim. My ref 18's arrived with an issue with the 'touch' display. Long story short - shipped em back to Nuforce - they said they couldn't replicate the problem? However, they replaced both main boards and display's as a matter of course. So, disappointing there was a issues in the first instance but they fixed it and went the 'extra mile'. All is good after a month of solid use. In the end, you don't expect issues at this price point! But they sound V good in my setup :)
