I have an original Denafrips Terminator DAC (with upgraded DSP board) and I'm still running the original firmware. Many consider the original Terminator to be the most "analogue-sounding" version, and I do like mine very much.
However, I can't shake my curiosity regarding subsequent firmware updates. Denafrips advises caution, as it might not be possible to revert once updated.
Do any of you have (or have had) the Terminator and have any recommendations?
Thanks.

Zuman, I own the Terminator Plus DAC and have performed the firmware upgrade. If you follow the firmware upgrade instructions, you should be all good. The only hiccup during the upgrade, is the time to complete the process. It takes like 20 minutes VS the proposed 5 minutes as indicated in the instructions. The upgrade will provide you a good increase in the audio quality.
