The rp-5070 i have is extremely noisy.

It uses a 'NISSO α-6000' air pump.
I've only found one website who apparently sales 'α-6000' diaphragms but it doesn't appear to be online.

The alternative is to buy diaphragms in Aliexperesss but i'm not sure what the exact size.

Did any one here replaced the diaphragms in a 'NISSO α-6000' air pump and know where or what to buy?

I would ask here, they will definitely know. It is the first address when it comes to micro seiki my opinion.

Turns out switching the power setting to "Low" is still enough air being pushed to make the platter spin,
and now the pump is much quieter.

Not bad for 40yr pump :)

just had to remove that 40yr sellotape..

I already ordered the strong pump "made in japan" that can push up to 8Liter /Min,
but judging by the 'NISSO α-6000' specs, 1.5L/M is enough.

Thats nice! Im using RP-1100 right now. The pump works fine but a bit noisy. That SSPP-2S looks great. Are you planning to place it inside your RP-1090?
There are two version of the RP-1100.

Do you know which version you have?

"Replacement unit for SSPP-2S" for the RP-1100 version.1 will be perfect.

I've already replaced the original pump (SSPP-2) in the RP-1090 with a new SSPP-2S.
The suction hold down now is crazy! It pretty much flattens all records.
