My headphones will not take a charge indicating the battery is probably in need of replacement. It's about that time anyway. While replacement is more difficult than it needs to be ,it looks pretty straight forwadr, The battery is readily available for less than $20.

Sounds like a perfect occasion to do some DIY Greg. Should something wrong happen, please remember, two heads are better than one :) Good luck!

SONY headphones have snap-on earpads. It needs a pry bar. I found it the everything drawer. Worked perfectly.

I am a strong advocate for the "everything drawer". I believe everyone needs at least one in their house! This is a perfect example of its usefulness.

Lol. The left side of the headphone takes the charge cord. I just assumed the battery was on that side. Wrong. At least I get to see what it looks like.

The replacement battery does not have the black pad as the old one does. I will try to remove it and place it on the new battery.

Now comes the hard part. Disconnecting the battery without any famage.damage.
Note there is no reason this could not be done in less than half an hour

The battery requires a Gare amount of force. Be persistent but gentle. I was able to attach the wire and pad
I suggest when you purchase a new battery try to where this done for you.

When i prayed the battery out appeared to be glued in
The question is should I use se rubber cement to glue it in place. I think so

So it was glued down but it is still tacky

Houston we have power.o_O

My nephew is a computer geek. H8 has experience changing smartphone battery's. He was able to get me across the finish line.
Believe me I have no desore to see the innards of those headphones any time soon
The good news is they sound like new when paired with Tidal-Galaxy flip4- Go-Blu it is excellent. Just in ime for spring.

I'm glad the GO Blu has been serving you well. I'm sure it gives the XM4s the kick they need to sound their best. And how has the Flip 4 doing? It's a pretty peculiar idea for a touchscreen phone, but so many people seem to love that "flip" feature.
