All of the posts (with which I fully agree) about the disappointing recording quality of the Adele albums reminded me about one of my favorite singer/songwriters: Sarah McLachlan.

I think Fumbling Towards Ecstasy and The Freedom Sessions are quite well-recorded. While Sarah McLachlan's voice, in my opinion, is almost pedestrian compared to Adele's voice, Sarah's voice is saturated with genuine emotion and is more than adequate to support what I think are beautiful and intelligible lyrics (e.g., Good Enough, Hold On and Mary.)

Does anyone agree?

I bought 3 or 4 of the Acoustic Sounds 45rpm remasters of Sarah's music.

meh.

don't bother. they sound like they are likely relatively low rez PCM masters and I like my redbook CD's on the Trinity dac just as much. and I like her music well enough that I would buy them all in 45 if they were a step up.

Sarah M is one of my fave female singer/songwriters and I have most of the Classic Records reissues, including Fumbling/Freedom. The others I have on standard RBCD. I also bought her latest LP, but I've only listened to it once so far.
