I've had a pair of Scansonic MB-2,5 speakers for a couple of months now, and they are a real good bargain. Very detailed in every aspect, deep but controlled bass and very dynamic. Music sounds better than ever in my home.
I've had a pair of these "Rhaido-light" speakers for a couple of months now, and they sound great. Very detailed in every aspect with a deep and controlled bass. Dynamic and engaging, well built and beautiful to look at. Music has never sounded so good in my home.
I heard these speakers being fed by the new Aavik integrated amp/DAC with a Nagra CD transport and a turntable (sorry I didn't recognise the model) in Munich. They sounded utterly fantastic, I don't think I've ever heard a pair of sub-3k euros sound so good. Come to think of it they could easily beat speakers many times their price. I would go as far as saying that they were a revelation; judging by the looks on peoples faces I don't think I was the only one to think so! Some of the credit probably has to go to the new Aarvik amplifier, probably the best sounding class D amp I've ever heard (although I haven't heard the Mola Mola). The system was also dressed with top of the range Ansuz cables, mains filters etc.
Good loudspeakers always allow good amplifiers to perform, and Scansonic MB-2,5 really do. I own a Hegel H-80 amplifier and have never heard Aavik, but I have tried Ansuz' Darkz under my loudspeakers, and that was not successful. In my ears they killed the dynamism - and they are terribly expensive.
