Shunyata Alpha and Sigma X new products, has anyone compared them to the V2's?

I have 2 of the Sigma X QR power cables on order, but they have not shipped yet due to a parts shortage. The NR and XC power cables did ship to many dealers. Has anyone done a direct comparison of these with the previous V2 line? The new Alpha and Sigma X digital and speaker cables should be next.

I copied this I had posted from another basic cable forum, to move it to this Shunyata cable forum where it is more relevant to members.

I replaced an Alpha V2 NR on my DAC with a Sigma X NR, and felt there was a very good improvement. I think these Sigma X NR are worth considering for analog components like DAC's and pre-amps. The QR should be better for amps, but I still have not received those to try.

The Sigma X larger gauge wire might be more than is needed on low current, digital components, so possibly a Theta X NR or Alpha X NR might be more cost effective and get close to the same quality on them.

There is more detail with the X, possibly a little bright to me which may change over time as they settle in. It all really depends on the recording. Some poorly recorded music sounded worse to me with the X, but high-resolution files or better cd level recordings sound better. It reveals the music as recorded, and the soundstage can open up and the music dynamics can get real quick, as well as crystal clear, IF the recording is good.

The lower bass is simply amazing with Sigma X on my system and gets down to lower frequency levels you can feel, just below hearing that I did not get with the Alpha V2 on the same songs. Duets are much easier to hear both singers, and this is a very positive improvement.

Sigma X QR cables did arrive. So far, I hear a significant improvement on the amps, with better resolution of music recording details I had not heard before and improved soundstage. Dynamics are faster and there is an extremely quiet background, but I also have these plugged into an Everest, and that combo has worked best for me. There is some synergy in adding these cables to the Everest vs direct into the wall.

Now I am waiting to see if an Omega X AES or USB cable will be the next thing to consider when they are announced.

Wondering how long until they cycle out the current Omega cables...

Omega X power cords are in price lists now. Omega signal cables, I think, came much later than power cords so perhaps not due an imminent update ?

you mention a price list but I cannot locate one...Shunyata used to display USD prices on their web site but have removed them...are you referring to a dealer price list? It was so helpful to have the pricing displayed on the web site if simply to just get a sense of the range of pricing..

The Omega X QR are $12,500 and XC are $8000. Most dealers have them listed now.

we used the theta level entry cables at Florida Audio Expo along with the Alpha and Sigma power cords. This new stuff is an amazing value as they will compete with lots of products priced multiple times more IMO
