The Substance

As my wife and I continue to watch the Nominees for the Academy Awards, a week ago I was espousing how awful I felt the movie Anora was and stated I could not understand how that movie ever got made

We were going to watch The Brutalist but we didn't have the 3'20" to sit so my wife suggested we watch The Substance as Demi Moore had won the Emmy last week for Best Actress in her role of Elizabeth Sparkle.

Suffice it to say it was only 2'20" so I said "why not"

Well let me just say in no uncertain terms that this was without doubt the most disgusting POS I have ever in my entire life watched. It is like a modern day version of Cinderella done by the Brothers Grimm

There is no redeeming grace to this movie. If this is the last movie Demi Moore ever stars in again her legacy will smell of vomit and formaldehyde

I don't even think KeithR who loved Anora will find something to like about the utterly disgusting movie

As the saying goes, I can never get back the 2'20" we sat for this movie

where are the good old days of Hollywood. For a Producer to agree to make this movie is simply mind bogging. I can't even put into words any way to review this movie except to say "you've been warned"......caveat emptor

It was a horrible retread of Cronenberg’s Videodrome, but even suggesting that elevates that crap wagon of a movie. It’s amazing what dreck passes for social commentary.

What’s worse is Anora sweeps the floor with another piece of crap that Hollywood calls entertainment
