I just took delivery of some gloss black Unifield 1s today. They are for our bedroom but I was in the basement learnin' to print so I set them up there. I ran them through their paces with a local builder friend's Parallel GM70 based amps and they played huge in the 77sq/m lair. Tonality and imaging remind me of LS3/5a's only a lot bigger. Source was my analog rig, Valvet Soulshine preamp, VSA masterbuilt Signature cabling. Switched amps to their real partners the Valvet A3.5 monos. I've been baby sitting Unifield 3s in the bedroom for a week or so but they're sold so I should really crate them and put them out of harms way (My A3.5 year old son).
2 pairs came in today. Mine and inventory. Looks like the other one won't be around very long the way it performs straight out of the box. Finally a VSA speaker that won't take ages to burn in. Good job as usual Albert.
