I've heard the first generation of the Wells amp which I thought was outstanding, but not the second. Anyone here who can compare the two? I'm referring to the newer $7000 amp, not the $15,000 one. Thanks.

Please ignore this thread. I am no longer interested in the Innamorata. Thanks anyway.

Paolo, Did you ever get info on the Inamorata? I know you moved on but I have the first Gen and was wondering if the Signature is that much better

Hi There,
I am now using a factory-upgraded Wells Majestic Integrated, which turns it into a MKII. Jeff Wells assured me that it's very close to an Innamorata, and that I'd likely be unable to hear the difference. This version of the Majestic is not on Wells' website. At the moment I'm using the Majestic as an amp only, paired with a Wells Commander Preamp. It's a fine combination working especially well with Maggie .7's. With my Sonus Faber Guarneri Homage I prefer a pair of mono tube amps.

Hope this helps.

This is likely to be construed as blasphemy here, but I sometimes wish my Wells integrated and/or preamp had tone and balance controls. :)
