I have Aurender streamers since 2016. Very good products with very good software. Currently I'm using an Aurender N10 but I would like to try other streamers to understand, as many people say, the most recent products, from other brands too, are better. But what are the best products on the market today?
My friend that lives very far from my home had N10 and moved to N20. He said me N20 is A BIT better. I didn't understand what he meant with A BIT... And I can't check personally because distance.

IMO, the best streamer is the Wadax reference. Others might point at the Taiko Olympus. Both of these are very high cost. To be released soon will be the Telos server/streamer. Based on what I saw at Munich it will be worth strong consideration.

Stepping down substantially in cost is the XACT server/streamer from JPLAY. There are a whole bunch in a pack below $20K. It just depends on how much you want to spend.

if considering the Wadax Reference Server/Streamer as a stand-alone then the added Reference Power Supply and the Akasa DC power cable are significant upgrades to the Streamer-only performance. when matched to the Wadax Reference Dac then the Akasa optical interface is also a big boost. if the 'best' or 'most preferred' is the criteria. YMMV.

I would suggest getting a Wadax Studio Player. Its a great streamer and you get a DAC and SACD/CD player along with it.
One box and you get it all

I actually prefer Taiko Extreme with latest version of XDMS by a fair margin. I also have the full monty of Wadax Ref Server and DAC with Ref Power supply and Akasa DC cables and Akasa optical cable. Ever since the NSM version of XDMS, Taiko Extreme pulled ahead imho - before that I do agree that Wadax was clearly ahead, that's how much of an improvement NSM was. My Taiko Olympus + IO will arrive soon.
