Many businesses and historical landmarks brag about how they are the oldest "continuously" running this and that. So thought it would be cool to see how has the longest working piece of audio electronics. This by definition advantages older folks here . But let's run with it.
My oldest running gears are two:
1. Optonica integrated amp. Bought it in around 1978-1980 so it is going on 30 years. It now sits in the garage and plays music for me when I am woodworking. It is fed by an Akai FM radio that is nearly that old. It is built like a tank with multiple massive power supplies. This is kind of what it looks like:
2. While not strictly an Audio equipment, my Yaesu short-wave radio goes back a couple of years from above.
So what vintage gear have you had which has not required any service and still going on strong?
