ALL of these rooms are fed by the Taiko Extreme. There are holes in the upstairs room walls to run xls cables from the preamps to the amps to an adjoining room as well as holes in the floor to run xlr cables from the preamp to amps downstairs to the two downstairs rooms.

These two videos were done before XDMS was updated with the NSM update.

Do you skip the DCS Upsampler and just use the DCS Dac, clock & Taiko? if not please explain-I currently have the full DCS Apex Vivaldi stack and have been debating on getting the Taiko but was wondering how much better it would improve the sound over the DCS Upsampler?
I use the Upsampler with the rest of the dCS Vivaldi stuff and the Taiko. But I am using the Upsampler for upsampling and only utilize the Upsampler networking with dCS' Mosaic app for remote control of the Vivaldi APEX DAC and Upsampler filters and other settings from my iPad.

However, I have to say that with the last couple of Taiko and NSM software improvements that the gap between CD-resolution files and higher resolution files has gotten much narrower, likewise streamed and local content are so close that I find I don't concern myself in the least about provenance -- I can and do enjoy it all very much.

The Taiko server is much, much better sounding than the Mosaic app and Upsampler streaming/serving.

I'm an outlier as I keep my Extreme in the top position rather than on the bottom shelf asI believe it is a thing of beauty that needs to be shown. There is no movement with my racks and/or footers. I use a total of 80 Center Stage Ultra TT footers under all electronics except the Extreme where I use the newest Center Stage speaker footer called the LS Ultra 2.25. I use Center Stage LS 1.5 footers under both speakers. All cabling is MasterBuilt Ultra. All tube adapters in the Horizon are TP Zebrano adapters with pure silver Star grounding
