Studer A-820 reel to reel tape deck in excellent condition......the ultimate piece of audio playback gear. this one has both 1/4" and 1/2" heads, guides and hubs. this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. these are very, very scarce.

this unit has the upgrade transformerless audio output cards. overall in very good cosmetic condition, a few small nicks and scratches. i own 3 Studer A-820's; i'm keeping the other 2 A-820's (one 1/4" and one 1/2") as they have custom head out switches that i use with my King Cello repro output electronics. i had acquired this unit 3 years ago to use for dubbing tapes as it's stock. but turns out i've done almost none of that. and as much as i love to look at my 3 Studer's together, other hifi desires are causing me to have to give up this beauty to keep my wife happy. sell it, she says.

i'm no techie expert. i purchased this unit from Ki Choi, who is a well known Studer expert. it is a solid properly performing deck. if you have a serious interest in this unit and would like, happy to make part of the deal visiting me and we can make dubs of any 5 of my master tape collection (with blank tape you bring) with this unit. you can compare my tape to the dub.

i've shipped a number of tape decks and it's not as scary as you might think. it gets strapped to a pallet and wrapped securely. not cheap, but won't break the bank. and btw; Studers are all voltage units; so no matter where you live this will work.
