I just wanted to post about the Lampizator Genya , I was able to set it up this afternoon . I only listened about 20 min but left it playing in hopes to listen more tonight . I was shocked and did not expect what I heard in this short time . The Genya is a bargain , I always felt the TRP was best value but now it's the Genya for sure . Another feature I like is you can put it in the rack no need to be ontop . I will be moving to Genya to my Headphone setup in another room it will fit my rack perfect .
Hoping to hear others thoughts on this excellent DAC in the near future.

I have the TRP and when I saw the press release of the Genya I immediatly taught this could be the successor.
Some has an ide of the price?

It's definitely a big upgrade .

The Genya is $17,500 USD or 16,000E. It is absolutely remarkable the SQ it brings to the sub $20k price point.

Thanks so much for sharing your initial impressions, Rau! That unit isn't even burned in, so it will continue to get even better over time. I'll definitely be interested in your thoughts as things mature and you get more acclimated to it's sound as you've obviously got some great frame of refence.

How would compare the Genya with the GG3 which is also a sub-20K DAC?

I am assuming the Genya doesn't tolerate tube rolling as much as the GG3; does that give the GG3 an edge despite the Genya using a higher grade digital engine?

If I’m not mistaken, the Genya doesn’t have any tubes in it. Or perhaps I’m wrong?

Tube compliment:
1 x 6X5 rectifier or equivalent, 6C5S
4 x 6N6P dual triode as input buffer or 6N30P or ECC88 or E88CC or PCC88 or 6DJ9 or 6922 or adapter fitted ECC99, ECC40, 6900, 12BH7, 5687, 12AU7 Ecc182, 7119

I haven't herd them both in the same system, but my impression having heard the Genya with stock tubes, is that it's a better DAC.

Some tube rolling is doable but hardly necessary for the Genya. It's a fantastic piece in stock configuration.

Update , for the last few days I have been listening to the Genya connected to my Woo Audio WA33 and Hifiman Susvara Unveiled headphones. Very impressed, I would say it's every bit of 80% of my Horizon 360 for 1/3 of the cost .

Hello rau,

How would you describe the difference of 20%? In what sonic direction does the Genya go versus the Horizon360?

Please enjoy my interview at AXPONA 2025 with Lukasz Fikus, the Founder and Designer of LampizatOr. Lukasz explains the origin of the new Genya DAC, its circuit design, its sonic attributes, and compares it to the Pacific 3 and to the Poseidon. Lukasz also previews future LampizatOr components.

Excellent Review Ron

Like every upgrade from Lampizator , more of everything. More depth, larger soundstage etc . I can't say more bass on this subject because the Genya puts out some serious bass. I already have the 360 and cascade but I couldn't pass up the value of the Genya for what you get, I am using it with a Woo WA 33 headphone setup, and it checked all the boxes. Also a plus is I can put it in my rack.

Did you try using the AES/EBU or S/PDIF input instead of USB?

I only used USB when I had it hooked to my main system . I have it on my hp setup now using S/PDIF and USB . I will add AES next week and compare .

Thank you. Is USB how you connect to the Horizon360 and MSB Cascade?

I use AES on Cascade and USB on Horizon
