I second Calexico. Superb band..great new album..but then all of their albums are top shelf.

After enjoying Sean Rowe's last two albums I went back to get his 2011 effort "Magic". This one does not disappoint. I may have to travel to see him in concert.

Ryley Walker - "Primrose Green"
Tall Tales and the Silver Lining - "Tightropes"

Great singer/songwriter fare with some folk/jazz flavor (think Tim Buckley) - (Walker), 70's Socal sound (TTSL) and lush acoustic guitars and personal, introspective songwriting (SS).

I think I read about this album here, but I finally gave it a listen (still halfway through it), and it's pretty good!

Solid piano trio jazz, quite modern, lots of variety. Definitely not your "old school" jazz...
Only 24/44, but SQ is superb!
