Is this the same approach with neohybrid of Silbatone? If not, what is the difference, I am very curious about this exciting product line!

Hello

The TriodeFet Gen1 was launched in 2012,and by then they were some attempts to copy (not the mentioned company of course which we like) ,so please do allow me not to go into much giving details.

Silbatone's tech is also very nice, and share the basic philosophy ,in the sense that
1.It is not a tube-driving-transistor topology and
2.Both tube and transistor share the load and both elements deliver current (they drive) to the load.(supporting the point #1).

However our approach is quite different. I do not want to go into much details in what way that is, regarding our approach for obvious reasons, and for Silbatone,i am sure they do not give everything out in the open, so we cannot tell much. And rightfully so,as we live in peculiar times :)

I can safely say though, and with a reserve of what SIlbatone is sharing, that the TriodeFet's resulting own transfer curves are closer(99,9% identical) to a triode, and that you can use the TriodeFet directly driving low impedance loads without the use of stepdown transformer, that is in an OTL topology for example. Also i could be wrong, but the TriodeFEt support much higher current idle, allowing higher power in Class A and SE circuits.

Cheers

I would be interested in sound experiences with these amps. I can't do everything myself  - Has anyone ever compared the Ianus Geminae against the usual super amps?

Having compared the QuintEssence to the Concero 65 LE Version, I was taken aback by the former's ability to replicate the sound of a Tube Amplifier with greater clarity, dynamics, and smoothness, despite being a TriodeFet Amplifier. In my opinion, the QuintEssence outperformed even a Tube SET Amplifier, producing a smoother and faster sound with better dynamics, which allowed for the low level ambience of the recording to come through. This created a vivid and immersive experience that made me feel as though I were merging with the music or attending a live event. Moreover, the transparency of the sound was not overpowering but rather perfectly integrated, creating an overall seamless listening experience.
