I see you have visited Beverly Hills already. Masseurs and golf pros and even hairdressers are feared seconds.
I don't think there's a pool, so the pool boys don't count.
Don't forget to tell Tinka and the guests not to stick their fingers in the tweeters, and to aim the champagne corks away from the goods. Maybe some electrified velvet rope guards there. Weaving guests with gooey hors d'oeuvres are hazards. Be sure to lock up the turntable room and/or have an...
My own humble opinion is any fault was probably Pendragon bass tower integration, not ribbon related. All of the solutions were pursued through the ribbons.
Although the preamp was tubed, a nice 300b line buffer would have done nicely to the bass towers. As mentioned, the towers would still...
More crushed pyramid slaves hauling the Pendragons out and the toe stubbing mono blocks in? Being a dealer must have some kind of elaborate casualty insurance.

Looks beefier than the good old Apogee Stage, but might be enough for a lot of listening rooms. If my panels go south, I'll get a pair of these.
I think this is generally correct. Higher ceilings and coffers can make for better ambient mixing in a room. The low ceilings in many of the hotel room demos don't serve as well.
I like the masculine looks of the Goebel speakers, WAF be damned. Rhapsody's Lorenzo speakers also strike a masculine chord that I like. They look like they were made for a men's club library/smoking room with stuffed chairs and brandy snifters.
Yes, this. High ips tape has that combo of intricate detail without losing body, imaging, heft or tonality, thus its luxuriousness as a source. Getting the upper bass/lower midrange hooked up correctly to the general midrange and upper midrange seems to be key.
The only amplifier I ever built is from 40 year old VFET Sony TA 4650 leftovers according to a DIY Nelson Pass schematic for single ended 2SK60 VFET (I used an old regulated linear power supply from 80's enterprise computer stuff that I got for $120) is one of the best sounding I have heard...
The Darwinian profusion of the expensive high end products never ceases to amaze me. I imagine economically some manufacturers do and don't make it, but there has to be a lot of money chasing these products for so many to be on display. Somebody has to be buying this stuff, and it isn't just...
Pendragon ribbons would do fine with a 20 watt SET at the crossover point avoiding the bass, upper bass demands etc at the given crossover. However, with the Clarysis all in one frequencies, I think that the 100 watt SET would be in order. It would probably sound magnificent.
I ran my Apogee...
