    Audio Research LS27 & Krell Evo 400

    It is indeed the problem of the excessive DC from tube preamps. The LS27 though has only tubes in the driver stage and mosfets in the power stage . I don't know which stage causes the excessive DC.

    In the Krell Evo manual is written that when connecting a tube preamp one must use the RCA inputs, not the xlr's. The ARC LS27 is an hybrid preamp. Because I have pur silver xlr interlinks, I naturally prefer to use them if possible. Does anybody out there has experience with this? I asked...

    I was thinking about faulty measering points - is in fact the resistor- because the tube was glowing normal and wasn't running super hot. But in case the tube is not working, should it then not glooiing at all??

    Recently bought a Ref 150. When I check the bias 3 pairs of KT120 are OK. On the fourth pair one tube measures 65mV but the slave tube more than 24V! There is no audible distortion or R/L unbalance in the volume. The concerning tube doesn't glow extensively and isn't extremely hot. Any...
