Thanks,
but it's just my curiosity. I think that Burmester sounds best only in its own system... But I haven't a lot of experience and I could be wrong.
We'll see.
Hi Elberoth,
It's nice to see you here :)
As you know, on "our" pl forum it's hard to get reliable information and sometimes it doesn't brag about what you listened to, where, and what is your opinion about it.
I have to limit my choice for 3-4 amps. I did a little research and I'll get to...
IMO 90% of amplifiers sounds better with dedicated preamp. Preamp and amplifier is one inseparable component for me.
I'm not a fan of the connection "source - power amp" directly.
I do not have preamp. I buy a whole new system and now I'm looking for amplifiers. I always use the same preamps companies as amplifiers. So I would take Pandora to Mephisto.
Amazing :)
I have to try.
Gryphon Mephisto is even better, supposedly. He can create an amazing space and soundstage, has great microdynamics and infinite energy.
Did you comapred Gryphon to Vitus?
yes, I've read all the reviews on the internet and in the press. Now I wait for Magico and I'm curious opinions of private owners or people who listen Vitus and Gryphon.
Thanks lloydelee,
Many people have recommended Gryphon for me, especially in the context of Magico.
Do you have a feeling "been there" with your Colosseum? :)
Hello, Gents!
What are your experiences with these products? In particular, I'm talking about amplifiers - Vitus Signature / Masterpiece Series and Gryphon Colosseum / Mephisto.
Thank you in advance for sharing your opinions.
Edit. If the thread is in the wrong section, please pass for another...
microstrip,
Ok, I got it.
But for me expensive speakers have to play any kind of music at the appropriate level. Aida has problem with this thing. But you're right - that may be a problem with electronics and cable.
microstrip,
Sorry, but I don't know what you mean :)
For me Aida is maximum overpriced. No energy, no brightness, muddy, fuzzy soundstage. Only a violin played well on these speakers. But remeber - this is only my opinion.
asiufy,
Exactly.
I also wanted to try match Q7 with Vitus which is highly recommended by Jeff Fritz and some forum users, but I think this is completely different way of sound than Soulution. Burmester is between.
