    IMO 90% of amplifiers sounds better with dedicated preamp. Preamp and amplifier is one inseparable component for me. I'm not a fan of the connection "source - power amp" directly.

    I do not have preamp. I buy a whole new system and now I'm looking for amplifiers. I always use the same preamps companies as amplifiers. So I would take Pandora to Mephisto.

    Gryphon Mephisto Stereo/Solo - 350/400W/4Ohm.... PURE CLASS A - and everything is clear :) This amp will drive all speakers on the market.

    Amazing :) I have to try. Gryphon Mephisto is even better, supposedly. He can create an amazing space and soundstage, has great microdynamics and infinite energy. Did you comapred Gryphon to Vitus?

    microstrip, Ok, I got it. But for me expensive speakers have to play any kind of music at the appropriate level. Aida has problem with this thing. But you're right - that may be a problem with electronics and cable.

    microstrip, Sorry, but I don't know what you mean :) For me Aida is maximum overpriced. No energy, no brightness, muddy, fuzzy soundstage. Only a violin played well on these speakers. But remeber - this is only my opinion.

    asiufy, Exactly. I also wanted to try match Q7 with Vitus which is highly recommended by Jeff Fritz and some forum users, but I think this is completely different way of sound than Soulution. Burmester is between.
