If anyone has DSL advice, I would love to hear it. Our house is pretty far out in the woods, so internet via phone lines is our only option at this point.
Interesting that it would be so heavy. It seemed like Magico was moving toward using more carbon fiber and less aluminum in the higher end models, which would imply lighter speakers. But maybe the amps and active bass dictate more aluminum.

For those of you with mono cartridges and/or tonearms, when did you decide to go down that road? Was it after acquiring a certain number of mono LPs? 200? 300? More? Or was it some other precipitating event?

I've had my AD for two years, purchased from Ethan at The Cable Co, which was the U.S. distributor at the time. And may be still.
Mine has been back to Ethan three times for service, and he's been great -- very patient and very helpful. It works well now, although records still come out...
Why not input the collection, or a part of it, into Discogs? That seems like a fairly easy way to objectively value it, other than the condition of the LPs. You can at least see what others are asking for the same title.
And I agree with Steve on the value. $5 apiece as a starting point...
