Hello everyone. My name is Pablo and I’m a newcomer!
I am hoping to make a final (ha!) substantial investment later this year. I’m looking at the CH Precision. P1 and L1 as a possible upgrade. However Audionet’s recent demise causes concern about the long term viability of high end companies generally and the difficulty of getting such complex products serviced in the event the manufacturer vanishes. What are the Members experiences so far as regards reliability? Many thanks!
Possibly, but I had a demo on the CH C1 DAC early 2017, and the UK rep told me one of his A1 amplifiers had blown, had to go back. No idea why. The C1 was good, but not quite beating my then Audio Note DAC 5, which was later sold off to be superseded by the Aries Cerat Kassandra Ref II DAC.If you choose CH Precision you will not be disappointed as it is some of the best long term investment on the market.
Build quality and upgradability is phenomenal, the gear is extremely reliable.
I'm not sure what this even means.People say Audionet overdid it with the Scientist Series.
Me neither after that long time so I had to jump back and read again.I'm not sure what this even means.
This is not surprising, I know of another 100k+ amp that was offered at 75%, and another that offers their whole stock after new upgraded models come out at 80%CH Precision is available at a discounted price, with the GAV Thailand distributor selling the products on Facebook at a 75% discount. It is likely that CH Precision distributors are enjoying profit margins that exceed industry standards.
His prob selling them at cost price, disposing of them all for a rapid saleThis is not surprising, I know of another 100k+ amp that was offered at 75%, and another that offers their whole stock after new upgraded models come out at 80%
Are we supposed to feel sorry or sad about that ?
I am quite happy with my MBL amps, they sound wonderful, have ample power, and never break down. It's the tube gear that is unreliable sh.t !Sorry and sad for those who buy based on retail price thinking it reflects quality, without understanding the deeper pricing breakdown (which is usually not available to all) and/ or trying to understand sonics.
CH can sound good among SS amps. You need it Milan
75% discount or 75% of retail price. This is a big difference. 75% of retail price is not abnormal. Your customers bought from you at retail price? His prob selling them at cost price, disposing of them all for a rapid sale
