Some of you might have already ordered it, but if not - run for it, it is THAT good, easily one of the best piano jazz recordings.

This one is a direct copy of the master, so it is superior to the earlier release, and it is also longer - you get one extra song, for the total of 39 highly enjoyable minutes.

Due to its longish nature, you can get it on a longer play tape, or you can talk Jonathan into recording it on your own stock of heavy tape - which I did. I had several unused SM911 tapes on 12.5" reels, and he did masterful job with one of them.

It is recorded with reasonable headroom (I severely dislike the recordings that push the tape) and the resulting sound is effortless and just what you expect from a perfectly tuned live piano in a well appointed room.

All I can say is: "Bravo!" and thank you Jonathan!

Hi Victor,

~39' on a single 12.5" reel? How many feet of SM911 on that reel?
Thanks.

i get to love what ever Jonathan sent my way, and will keep buying from him more and more.

All true, unfortunately, as he announced, he is retiring, so get them while you still can.

His retirement is going to be one of the greatest losses for this small industry.
