@ricjor1, any news in the system?
I am a great fan of JRDG products, had nearly all classic preamps, stopped on the level of Coherence II series II with Cadence, but now I use the phantastic Daemon with outstanding inbuilt DAC and really good phono stage. After all those years with several JR...
No, it is not suitable for the sliding base, as already mentioned.
But it replaces the normal basic base. The diameter of the hole in the tonearm-base is the same, so you can change it without any problem.
I have the Rotary Lift for half a year. It is a fantastic, precise and very heavy unit. I think the high mass is one of the advantages of it, it grabs the tonearm on a big surface and couples it to the high mass.
The adjustability is fine and due to the scale reproducible. I don’t want to miss...
Hi,
no, I have no new speakers until now. Actually I think about a Kaiser Kawero Classic, after I missed a nice Wilson MAXX3… But first I have to hear both of them, at least on other amps then Zanden.
But I have used the 9600.2 without any problems and with very good results directly on a Wadia...
Has someone heard the Kaiser Kawero Classics with Zanden? What can I expect from a Zanden 9600 MkII with matching phono and pre with the Kaisers?
Do they match well complex big orchestra, powerful acoustic music like flamenco with clapping, percussion, loud shouting singers and guitar, or bold...
Maybe 2 or 3 Mutec MC 3+ in row as a cascade, and additional a Mutec REF10 reference frequency. This is a fine solution for CD transport and server/renderer.
Go for a Graham LS5/8. It is a fantastic big speaker for bigger rooms, but even for minimum 2m listening distance onwards.
I use it with different amps, ss and tubes (845 pp), and the two way design as a big speaker is a unique design but here in a real fine result. Good for bigger classical...
It is long ago, that Shakti owned these nice red beauties, and we just talked on the phone some days ago.
What are the real DNA of the Wilson sound? And some specific DNA of the MAXX3 sound?
I intend to match my complete Zanden classic system (1200.3, 3000, 9600.2) and alternatively my Jeff...
How many of you have heard the Kalliope in the meantime? And who has kept it after 6 years and has it still in his system? Or for what have you changed the Kalliope for?
Is the RF, even in the longest version heavy enough for the Ortofon SPU? Or would you maybe recommend explicitly the shorter ones, even for an SPU?
I read many good things about the tonearm but I have never heard it. I am interested in them for my two SPU A cartridges in comparison to a...
Don’t forget the nice Jeff Rowland Daemon. Including fantastic DAC and really good phono stage. Drives everything with 1500W. I use ist for 10 months now beneath different other systems and like it really. beca of the various connectivity you can use it just as a DAC, or Phono+Pre or just as an...
