Hi all.
After looking into a new amplifier for quite some time I have settled on an amplifier which many of you might not have heard of before. This is because, Ultrafide is a new UK company based in Devon, UK. Although to say they're new to amplifiers is not at all correct. Ultrafide is a new...
I also own an L-07D turntable. It's a magnificent thing and, to me, it's a work of art as much as a work of technical prowess.
I'm looking out for couple of things for mine like the TS-10 platter and an original 2nd tonearm board, SME or otherwise.
Here's my review of it over on my blog...
Hi there.
No, I'm not a dealership. To find a dealership, just do a search or if you cannot find one, contact Entreq direct. Their details are at the bottom of the review page. :)

Hello Gerard.
Thanks for reaching out. The spacer isn't a part of the Houdini, I added that to level the arm up a little. It's not needed.
I shall update my review with that so, thank you again.

Hi all.
Can anyone recommend where to buy bearings for the transport of an A80?
I've seen Athan and PMW but the costs in shipping to the UK and minimum quantities are simply prohibitive. Athan charges $375 shipping!!??
Can anyone PLEASE give me a source of precise ABEC-5 or 7 bearings with...
Studer A80 capstan capacitor question
Hi all.
Just been checking my A80R 1/4" machine and found that the capstan motor capacitor in the back of the machine is 8uf.
(I'm looking to replace the old BOSCH caps if possible.)
My machine is a high speed machine 15/30 and according to nagravox it...
Hi all.
I have an A80R and I've not had it long. It's all been recapped and all of the RIFA caps have been replaced.
I'm getting a loudish bump noise through my speakers when I press record and then when I press stop coming out of record.
Would anyone know what this could be?
Thanks
Thanks.
So the answer is no? As I don't have any previous documentation, is that an easier way of putting it?
I was just wondering if the serial number could point to something like date etc?
Hi all.
Does anyone know of a way of finding out the details of a Studer A80R machine?
Is there a way of finding out the date and other details?
Thanks
Finally got my A80R.
Its a high speed machine 15/30 Ips which was a surprise.
Sounding great. But before its calibrated properly I'd like to change it over to CCIR as well as do some changes to the audio boards for reliability and sound performance.
The machine has been recapped to a...
