Tripoint Audio - new top model grounding device

I initiated the visit to AE and I asked audioblazer to come along. I concur with his comments on the Emperor. There are other grounding devices out there but Tripoint seems to have done it better than most if not all. Audiocrack has put part of my comments here earlier. If you have a mega...

    CH Precision D1

Tunes, my X1 arrived yesterday and you will be surprised at what improvement it brings. To me, all C1 users must have the X1! The umbilical cord is 2 metres long, btw. I find streaming is the best way to go for the C1. Currently, I use a Synology 1813+ and a Qnap for streaming. More to come on...

power cords for Vitus SM-101 Monoblocks , what do you think can match?

I didn't make any comparison as I couldn't given the circumstances. In each of these system, I just listened to the tonal balance, coherence and noise floor. Yes, at this level, there are no bad cables, just personal preference.

power cords for Vitus SM-101 Monoblocks , what do you think can match?

Lloyd was right. I mentioned that they were all heard in different systems and there was no way I could A/B them. The owners of these systems are very private people and listening is only by special invitation.

power cords for Vitus SM-101 Monoblocks , what do you think can match?

Yes, I did. They were used with the top Marten loudspeakers.

power cords for Vitus SM-101 Monoblocks , what do you think can match?

I know you liked your Transparent cables but you must try the Goebel cables. They let everything through unhindered...top, top quality. They must be heard to be believed. I have listened to the top cables from Transparent, MIT, Jorma, Nordost, etc. (in different systems though) and I ended up...

I'm using the TS-269 Pro model. I'm not sure whether it came with DSM 5.0 or not. I have the 1813+ as well but I won't use it for streaming though as the processor is too slow. It takes a while for it to load. Instead, try not to use more than the 4-bay ones. I prefer to use SSDs.

I use 2 NASes, Synology 1813+ and a Qnap. Minimserver only works well with Qnap and not Synology. To carry out DSD streaming, use Qnap with Minimserver. As for Upnp, I use Plugplayer and so far, so good.

Judging by the specs, the Ultra 5s do seem to be overkill for components other than heavy speakers and amps like the Mephisto. But, I trust the results of your experience with the Ultra5s as you are an authority on them.

When the dealer told me he would be bringing over the Ref10 for a spin, I have no intention of buying it. After listening to it, I may consider it depending on my listening impression of the K15. A direct comparison will not be possible, however. I have a few complaints on the Ref10 though....it...

He cited almost perfect bass control, thundering dynamics across the entire frequency range and the most beautiful tonal colour.

Didn't have the chance to listen to the CJ Gat which I'm sure is mighty impressive judging from comments from experienced users. I'm also aware that a long time user of the CJ Gat finally bought the K15 after listening to it.

Yes, Lloyd. The Ref10 is fully balanced and so is the K15. From my experience, the Mephisto does sound better when connected balanced. From user experiences here in Asia, the K15 may be even better than the mighty FM268!

At the moment, I'm looking seriously at Robert Koda's K15 and will, hopefully, be able to listen to it when I attend the Hong Kong Show in August. I will then decide after that. The K15 seems to be the real deal!

Just took home the Ref10 for a spin and was I surprised! It definitely has great synergy with the Gryphon Mephisto. It is a better match than my Burmester 808 Mk V. Voices took on a new dimension. Female voices suddenly became sexier, more palpable and real. Male voices seemed to have more...

Have you listened to the Q7 before? If so, how does it compare to the M5? I'd listened to the Q7 and was completely blown away.

    Soulution & Magico

I'd heard the Soulution/Q5 at the Munich Show and the Soulution/Q7 at a friend's house and I must say the difference in sound quality is huge as expected. This is due in part to the less than ideal show conditions.

Gryphon Kalliope vs CH Precision C1

I bought the C1 from a dealer who also sells the Kalliope. When I bought the C1, the Kalliope wasn't in the market yet but my understanding with the dealer was when it (Kalliope) comes out, I can have to option to choose either one. After listening to the Kalliope at the recent Munich High End...
