Yes please come and listen in Munich. I rised the barre for this show edition.
The components are improved but also the system is 100% totaldac, so all is made to match each other perfectly, easier than when several brands are used.
A new Totaldac speaker is released, the d120. It will be used next Munich High End show in May 2024, in Atrium 4.1 room F123, in a 100% Totaldac system.

Yes indeed, and here is an annoncement!
The Totaldac d1-sublime DAC has been tested by Audiotechnique in Hong Kong and writes as a teaser (automatic translation):
"He was stunned when he opened the sound quality was compared to the vinyl system in his home, and he was at one point excited..."...
Michael Lavorgna, editor of twitteringmachines.com just received a Totaldac d1-triunity DAC for review.

"The current Barn resident DAC is the d1-unity "
I simply don't know when the mono&stereo article was made, I only know that the d1-sublime installation was finished in April 2023, so less than one year ago.
Alon optimized the installation of the new Totaldac DAC between January 2023 and April 2023, we exchanged about 200 emails about that.
Yes the M7 was already released in April 2023, the new S3 too, and the M9 too
The presence of new Totaldac source (d1-sublime) in this auditorium was...
The photos showing Totaldac DACs in Magico room were published in mono&stereo last week, this is where I saw them for the first time, I don't know more.
The new Magico demo room has tested and selected a Totaldac d1-sublime DAC and a Totaldac d1-switch ethernet switch to demo the Magico new S3, M7 and M9 speakers.

Totaldac DACs stay with AES-EBU input (and coax, optical, USB).
This AES-EBU link is not the limit with Totaldac DACs (I am only talking about Totaldac DACs).
The limit is in the digital source (music server or streamer for example).
I made many experiments to prove it.
For example I used a...
a new amplifier and the matching driver have just been released by Totaldac
The Amp-1-sublime is the new Totaldac reference amplifier, using solid state components exclusively.
The triode stage used in the previous generation of Amp-1 is now upgraded by an innovating transistor gain stage...
Matej Isak has released a review of the Totaldac d1-triunity DAC for monostereo.com and gave it its "UPPER ECHELLON" prize.

Thank you and happy new year!
A new d1-driver is released to perfectly match the quality of this new amplifier.
The d1-driver-sublime has no volume control because it relies on the DAC volume control but in case the complete system gain is too high (DAC + amp + speakers + room) an analog -15.5dB attenuation can be activated...

Absolutely no worry, you will like even more the d1-unity, it is not analytical in the wrong way at all. It is simply far better than the d1-single-mk2.
You can also wait to read the Stereophile d1-unity review (December issue released mid November), it should help a lot to decide to go to the...
This recording is made just before leaving to the Paris Audio Video show!
It is recorded in the Totaldac headquarter in France using schoeps microphones.
The first two tracks are directly streamed from Qobuz using a 4g wireless modem.
Qobuz streaming to a totaldac system is easy using Roon or...
Hi Roasty,
Did you read the reviews linked here? https://www.totaldac.com/D1-unity-en.htm
and also here https://www.totaldac.com/D1-triunity-en.htm
and here: https://www.totaldac.com/D1-sublime-en.htm
It should give you some ideas.
You can also read some feedback about the Munich show last May...
Alex Halberstadt from Stereophile wrote a review about the Totaldac room at the High End Munich show 2023, based on the d1-sublime DAC.
He is currently testing the Totaldac d1-unity DAC + d1-streamer-sublime for a review in Stereophile magazine...
Yes it is equally effective for all inputs: AES-EBU, coax, toslink and USB.
The design objective was to have a complete separation between the input side and the output side of the anti-jitter FIFO to minimize the jitter leakage from the input to the output. The sound gets much more clear and...
They are damping feet (transforming vibration to heat), not spikes, so they will help on a hear shelf or when the products are stacked.
Currently I use them on a wooden shelf.
