He'll end up just fine and I'm sure he will get what he wants.
I'm just amused by you making him out to be a victim. It's like the Kardashians asking to respect their privacy.
My point was that times have changed. Their customer service is far from what it used to be. In the past twenty years, I have owned 15-20 pieces, all bought new from dealers. I still have some in my system.
Never let the facts get in the way. Where's the hyperbole? I can read. I see requests for 30-days trials and factory burn in. I'm pretty sure that Lampizator ships everything overnight from Poland. I know customers require tech support. Do you think there are no requests for discounts...
Factory burn in….30-days trial with flexibility…..they pay international next day shipping to you…..tubes get used up…..tech support and setup…..maybe a discounted price. Anything else you need?
This is exactly what I am disturbed by. What blown up tube? There was no blown up tube. The tubes did not work correctly the day the DAC arrived because they were upgraded tubes that required the flip of a switch. That is normal on all the B7 Lampis. Nothing more. Fred told Ian that he...
So….Is it "By any means necessary". It's ok to harm someone's business in order to get what you want, even if you are not holding up your end of the agreement. He wasn't "technically" past the grace period. He was past the grace period, and looking for more time. I think you are giving...

"Well my Lampi arrived today (instead of Monday) - yay!
Unfortunately...
1. It's too deep to fit in my rack
2. It's too high (with tubes) to fit in my rack
3. It has a loose screw rolling around inside it
4. I didn't get a manual and there's a toggle...
Ken…..There was nothing wrong with the DAC. Unfortunately, that has conveniently not been made clear. It required a fuse change, which was already provided, and the flip of a switch, because the tubes were an upgraded pair and more than suitable to evaluate the Lampi within the trial period...
I'm not aware of what adjustments were made to the S3s and updates to the S5s. I think what really matters is the sound. I'm glad that you are happy with your S5s. I will say that the people I know who have heard both, prefer the S3s.
I find the Alexias more musical and involving than the S5s and I think ARC amps are a great match, but then I prefer the S3s to the S5s, also…. more musical.
Buddy Guy and Junior Wells….Hoodoo Man Blues….Maybe the greatest blues album of all time. Talk about raw blues, this is it!
