Used my Zero in all of my 4 arms, theese are Kuzma 4P - TriPlanar - OL Conqueror 12» - Reed 3P.
I really love it in the Reed, maybe a bit too heavy and stiff to match that arm but the sound is fantastic in that arm. I also have the matching SUT.
I have completely restored a 401, pretty much all out now with new bearing and 12kg brassplatter and copper mat. Artisan Fidelity idler wheel and Loricraft powersupply.
Sounds better than my TWAcustic Raven on rock music, but most of all, the pleasure of having put down so many hours and love...
Been using SUT until now, but bought myself a Whest phono stage for use with the Atlas. Could not really get it perfect with the tubes, to bloomy for my acquired taste. That just why i wondered, keep em coming!
Have been setting up the cart with use of both USB-microscope and Adjust+ software...
Thank you!
I now have an Atlas in my TriPlanar, and a Colibri in my 4Point. Completely different sounding cartridges that works in a great symbiosis on my Raven. The best of both worlds, perhaps?
This big!
(on the left, a Buffalo III dac with exasound USB. On the right, 60 pounds of power supply)
Built by Leif Christensen, it sounds about as good as it gets in the Digital world.
Thank you all for your kind replies! Really a positive and interesting forum this....!
I currently own one Triplanar MKVII, One SME IV.iv and one Kuzma Stogi.
You guys just made me order a 4point as well! Hopefully it won't take more than a week for it to arrive.
My vdh Colibri docent work as...
Hi Jack, kinda new to this forum so i was just clicking around and i ended up here.
Gorgeous room, beautiful equipment and you even sound like a nice guy. Kudos and all that. Will keep my eyes open for your posting!
If ever in Norway, you are surely welcome for a visit. The listening room has its own bar, office and three bedrooms so you could make a weekend of it!
Hi!
Is there any first hand experience with both 4Point and Triplanar MKVII?
I currently own a Triplanar but i´m considering replacing it with a 4Point.
Is the 4Point a "faster" and more "in your face" tonearm than the Triplanar?
Sounds good to me! Congrats
What type of drivers will you be using for the bass cabinets? Pictures?
Remember to let the bass speakers blend in from around 140-150hz, the Trios will not have much output under 140hz in almost any room.
Thank you!
Actually, my favorite classical record of all times are a Grieg play. Peer Gynt by Øyvin Fjeldstad and The London Symphony Orchestra. Decca SXL2012
Probably the most dynamic record i own and the music really has an impact. I highly recommend it.
As the Colbri is mentioned in the headline here i´ll slip in a question about it if its ok?
I own a Colibri XGP, and i have had it for about a year now. Switches between SME IV and a Triplanar and compares to my Grasshopper GLA.
How much positive VTA do you guys prefer with this cartridge? In...
Thank you all :)
There are no doubt that this system needs space to really unfold its potensial. Im not there yet when it comes to acoustic treatment and such, there are still things to be done. But with a busy job and a little daughter things just takes time. But the road to greatness is just...
Here's one
Avantgarde has been my choice for the last 8years and i haven't yet heard one single reason to change that. Even though ive heard some real expensive systems and extremely well built DIY horn systems i still mean that this is the holy grail for me.
Seriously, theres no other tube amp that can come close to a BorderPatrol S10 on the horns. It's both dynamic, fluid and musical.
Ive tried ALOT on both Uno's, Duo's, and now the Trios. i have ended back to BP three times now. But my latest trick is an active system with Bryston driving the...
