WBF: How Much Science Talk Do You Want to See?

Rarely post, but i have to comment. I figure that when Amir is hated by objectivist on AVS and subjectivist here, he must be doing something right-:)

Could very well be, but I haven't read the paper so I will withhold judgement. I don't listen that much to the type of music that is supposedly compressed (a few but very few) so again no opinion but no rush to judgement either.

    America Shuts Down!

Looks like (hopefully) the govt will reopen and the debt ceiling raised until at least next year... FWIW, I read 8% of the debt is owed to the Chinese. My opinion is that Obama's vote was more symbolic and political when he voted against raising the debt ceiling. I believe Obama is a politician...

    Your favorie audio magazine

Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I was a subscriber to all of those magazines at one time or another. I agree internet is great but sometimes TOO much information or at least not enough vetted and peer reviewed information. Some of the online forum reviewers are subject to the same...

    Your favorie audio magazine

According to the letter that accompanied the new Sound and Vision, the company that bought Sound and Vision (from its owner) owned Home Theater; however, the Sound and Vision name was retained. This may be because of some exclusives they get for new equipment review although I am guessing based...

    Your favorie audio magazine

I liked it too and now Sound and Vision has morphed with/into Home Theater Magazine as of the most current issue.

    Your favorie audio magazine

I like Soundstage as well because of Doug and Jeff. I only like Stereophile for Kal's reviews and Atkinson speaker measurements and reviews. None of the rest of it interests me in the least and I am not going to renew after being a subscriber for many many years. Did not renew The Absolute...

Dr. Bose Passes Away at 83

My understanding was that this forum was the result of dissatisfaction with AVS. I am not sure I see the difference:-) Same old same old.

Dr. Bose Passes Away at 83

Most of all he was a pioneer and an educator. Be nice to hear from Sean Olive and some other technical experts as to whether his contributions merit scorn or praise.

    Stands for the LS50 Speakers

It did NOT come off that way. Your post came off as demeaning because u questioned me with "qualifiers". Anybody who does not post qualifiers is well arrogant. I still ask Steve and Amir to get me off this forum.

Steve's RMAF 2012 Picture Thread And Top 5 In Show

Jim Salk (who is one of the gentlemen in the business) bought the rights to the name and is building them with Dennis Murphy, his crossover guru. Believe they are going to be sold at dealers but don't quote me on that.

    Presidential Debate: The Heck Happened???

If you go to factcheck, you find it is rampant on both sides and like I said nobody gives a sh**. It is always just a left vs. right thing. Always a blame game. There IS however some good analytical stuff out there. Frontline did a nice one on the crisis. While, I think there is plenty of...
