but the "square root of negative 1"....is i...and the entry point to the realm of imaginary numbers...that see service in a variety of disciplines (EE to name but one)....
 
Al - just to be clear..I was referring to Krauss in the physics context only...specifically around the quantum potential for energy to spontaneously emerge from the vacuum of empty space.

Probably not the best video to select for illustrating that specific aspect....philosophy i'll leave to others.
