A very cheap but extremely effective tweak for records’ static

The Zerostat gun is more finicky whereas this works great every time.... IME

best tweak ever, works like a charm. I pass mine slowly over the LP while it is spinning, a couple passes. You can almost hear when static dissipates and the sound of the plasma arc is all you hear. It will get quieter! And so will your record playing. Honest!

I bought a couple of this plasma lighter for BBQ. It is very effective even I have used DS Audio ioniser, it adds a little more quietness in the background, like a booster dose.

Only about US$11 each, there is no reason not to buy a couple.

With the record spinning, light up the spark and scan it across the disc surface, keeping a small distance of say 10mm.

I received mine yesterday and did a few tests after the system was warmed up and came to the same conclusion as some of the other people that posted. Improved resolution, cymbals are where I noticed it the most.

Mine arrived today. I have only had a chance to play a couple of 12” singles, guys this is just mental it appears better than my Furutech De-Stat III at a fraction of the price.

I need to play more records to be sure, but so far you guys a correct.
