Alternatives to acrylic shelves in Stillpoints ESS racks?

I had seen that a Berlin dealer and importer had slate (with a wood layer underneath) as replacement for original acrylic shelves, also pics of Ikea Aptitlig boards.

Did you try any other shelves? What do you recommend?

Ikea Aptitlig boards.

I've often seen these boards used, and I've tried and discarded them myself (specifically after using them under a pair of bookshelves when I decided to take a look inside). Bamboo is a great material, but I'm not sure if the purpose of using these bamboo boards is also to reduce vibrations. Theory predicts, and experiments confirm, that mechanical properties deteriorate in the presence of voids. Perhaps you should compare IKEA's Aptitlig with a solid (bamboo) board, just to be sure?
