I don't listen to old 78s on my main system, but I have a dozen or so I keep for when I get in the mood to wind up the floor standing folded horn Columbia phonograph my father bought in about 1928 or '29 and let it sing. My 78s aren't very good, mostly nearly worn out, but with new needles they still take me way back to a different time.
