So if you need another reason to come to Austin I will add JWM to the list of folks you should visit. Joshua of JWM is a speaker and woodworker making some excellent speakers and turntables out of sustainable/renewable woods from Hawaii.
Woods like Monkeypod and Mango are used in his builds and the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident in all of the designs.
I came by his room 2 years ago at LSAF in Dallas, but didn't get the chance to meet him personally. At the time he lived in Hawaii, but has since moved his business to Austin. Our local Austin Society had out last meeting at his home where he demo'd two of his speakers (one the floorstander and the other the Monitor) though the names I have forgotten.
